Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga uses props to minimise muscular effort in postures. This allows you to get into the posture with ease, and hold the postures for 10-15 minutes, maximising the therapeutic effects of yoga. The aim is to bring the body into a state of deep relaxation, to reduce the stress response and allow the body to heal, rest and digest. Excellent for those who are recovering from injury, surgery and women who are menstruating or going through fertility treatment.
